The golden sunlight streams over the fields as the first trucks loaded with ripe tomatoes arrive at our factories, marking the official start of a new production season. This is more than just a restart; it’s the beginning of another journey to transform fresh, vibrant tomatoes into the “red gold” that will reach tables around the world.
Since August 12th, tomato processing plants across both northern and southern Xinjiang have been steadily ramping up operations. The entire process, from sourcing and washing to crushing and processing, is proceeding in an orderly manner and according to strict quality standards. We are pleased to report that the acquisition of raw materials is progressing smoothly. The purchase price for the raw tomatoes has been set as agreed, with an estimated price of $65 USD per ton. This price not only ensures a fair return for our farmers but also establishes a solid foundation for our production costs this season.
The tomato paste price in China now
This new season brings fresh opportunities for the global market. Current projections for the 2025 season’s tomato paste are around $760 USD per ton, while remaining stock from the previous season is priced at approximately $650 USD per ton. This price difference highlights the strong market demand and perceived value of a high-quality, new-season product.
